My name is Dave Hoffland/Jaarsma and i was born the 24th of June 1978
in the centre of Utrecht, in the Netherlands.
I have always been a creative spirit and also loved music and my C-64.
I was known at school as the kid that didn't fit in with the rest.
When i was about 9 or 10 an uncle gave me a pickup recordplayer accompanied by
100's of records (think, Madness, Alice Cooper, The Doors, etc..)
I was hooked..
Then the 90's came and straight away after hearing a tape of Parkzicht
(a legendary but notorious underground house/techno/hardcore club in Rotterdam)
my life started again.. I started buying records back then and i did not really play
them at all. I considered myself a collector of good vinyl.
Halfway the 90,s two friends of mine started giving party's as a roadshow with really
terrible music. After doing two party's this way we where already sick of it
and the collective started "Psychedelic Circus", back then they where revolutionary
and well known in and around Utrecht (and beyond) for our divers croud that included
juppie's, technoheads, freaks, skaters, squaters, etc,
We did give these party's for a grand total of exactly 10 years.
We also opened a club that stayed open for 1,5 years and was closed.
In the final phase of "Psychedelic Circus" as a party, i broke my back while falling
from 4,5 meters high while breaking down a party that we did with oldskool en classics
with the name "Return up the bass".
After that i had to quit because i could not do anything.
During this time (because i could not walk) i started playing my vinyls
and learned a lot.
I had all the time of the world.
My past performances have been so many party's.. I could not even count them anymore after all these years.
I also started my own underground label
"DELIC-TRAXX". Here i experiment with thing in tech and do my personql releases.
I also now released 2 EP's and 2 albums on
"Valley Doll Records". a label from Perth Australia.
